Kanayo made this accusation in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he detailed the alleged misconduct and issued a stern warning to the film industry.

In the video, Kanayo said that Angel Unigwe’s mother has a habit of violating agreements with movie producers after receiving payment.

The actor explained that this issue had come to his attention through various reports, but he personally experienced it recently during a film project.

According to him, an agreement was in place for Angel to stay on set until midnight. However, her mother came to the set at 9 pm and took her away, thereby breaching their contract.

He expressed his frustration and disappointment, emphasizing the impact of such actions on the professionalism and reliability within the Nollywood industry.

Kanayo accused Angel’s mother allegedly holds producers to ransom, disrupting film schedules and causing significant inconvenience.

The actor warned movie producers not to engage Angel Unigwe for any film projects from July 2024.

He threatened to disrupt the production of any set that hires her, stating that he would personally ensure filming does not proceed if his warning is ignored.

This, he said, was a necessary measure to protect the integrity and smooth operation of the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

Despite the severity of his accusations, Kanayo made it clear that his issue was not with Angel Unigwe herself, but solely with her mother.
