KanyiDaily recalls that Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12, 2024, after pleading guilty to naira abuse at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The crossdresser was released on August 5, 2024, after spending four months in prison.
On Sunday, August 25, Bobrisky took to Instagram to talk about how he helped the inmates by sharing videos of the food he distributed during his jail term.
The videos showed large amounts of meat, rice, and other essentials that he arranged to support the prisoners.
He expressed deep concern over the terrible conditions he saw in the prison, describing them as “heartbreaking,” which led him to take action immediately.
Driven by what he witnessed, Bobrisky said he organized the delivery of the food supplies and also handed out money to ease the inmates’ struggles.
He wrote, ”I will always be proud of myself. I fed over 2,500 people in maximum prison Kirikiri. The situation I met them was heartbroken. I order 5 giant cows, 10 bags of rice, 5 full basket of tomatoes so I could feed them and I also gave them money.”
KanyiDaily recalls that following his release from prison, Bobrisky warned Nigerians against spraying money, stressing that people could end up in prison for non-violent crimes.
