“God Gave Me Permission To Divorce My Husband” – Gospel Singer Ohemaa Mercy

Ghanaian gospel singer, Ohemaa Mercy has opened up about the spiritual journey that led her to divorce her husband, Mr. Twum-Ampofo.

In an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, Ohemaa Mercy revealed that her decision to end the marriage was not made lightly but was the result of extensive prayer and reflection.

The singer explained that she sought for guidance before finalizing her decision, and God gave her permission to divorce her husband.

She said, “I didn’t just get up one day and decide to divorce my husband. I took it to God in prayer. I was committed to doing the Lord’s work, and I knew marriage was somewhat going to hinder it. So I sought His permission and approval before deciding to divorce him.”

Ohemaa Mercy also confirmed that she initiated the divorce, noting that the decision was mutual and without animosity.

We came to a mutual agreement about going our separate ways, and he agreed,” the singer added.
