It was gathered that Yahaya Bello arrived at the EFCC office on Tuesday morning, accompanied by his legal team.
This visit follows a recent Supreme Court ruling that dismissed the case challenging the constitutionality of the anti-graft agency.
On Tuesday, Bello drove himself to the EFCC office in a black Hilux, accompanied by his lawyers, rather than with the current Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, as some had speculated.
Last week, there were rumors about Bello’s visit to the EFCC, but his media team did not respond to questions regarding the matter.
During the last court hearing on November 14, the EFCC requested an adjournment for a new case against Bello.
The case is being heard by Justice Maryanne Anenih at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja.
The EFCC stated that the 30-day period for the summons issued earlier was still active and requested additional time for Bello to appear.
Meanwhile, Bello’s co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, were granted administrative bail, and the court adjourned the case to November 27 for further proceedings.
