Abandoning Our Tradition For ‘Oyibo’ Ways Causing Premature Deaths – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor and pastor, Yul Edochie expressed concern over the increasing number of premature deaths among young people in their twenties to forties, describing it as abnormal.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Yul Edochie attributed this trend to the abandonment of African traditional practices and the adoption of foreign “oyibo” lifestyles.

According to him, the protective spirits tied to African traditions and lands are displeased because they have been neglected.

The actor urged Nigerians to return to traditional practices, emphasizing their purity and strength as a solution to the problem.

“Too many premature deaths these days. Young people dying in their twenties, thirties, forties. It is not normal. It is happening because we have abandoned our traditional ways and embraced the ways of oyinbo people.

“The spirits that protect many of us and our lands are angry because they have been relegated. We must go back to our traditional ways, which are very pure and powerful,” he wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls that Yul Edochie previously revealed how Western influence is affecting the religious mentality of many Africans.
