Ned Nwoko Denies Welcoming Child With Chika Ike, Alleged Plans To Marry Her As His 7th Wife

Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko has denied reports claiming he is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his 7th wife and that she is expecting his child.

The rumors gained traction on social media after his wife, Regina Daniels, deactivated her Instagram page, sparking speculation that Nwoko had welcomed a baby with the actress.

Addressing the claims on Monday through his Instagram page, Ned Nwoko dismissed the reports as false and baseless.

He criticized the spread of misinformation and urged journalists to verify their sources before publishing such stories.

Nwoko also debunked reports suggesting he made remarks about singer Tuface and polygamy, calling them equally false.

According to him, being a public figure and married to an actress makes him a frequent target of sensationalist stories.

Nwoko emphasized that he remains focused on his national responsibilities and has no time for distractions.

He also reminded journalists of the dangers of spreading fake news and encouraged the public to rely on official statements for accurate information.

A statement from his Director of Communications stated, “Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him.

“We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.

“Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue.

“As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories.

“However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.

“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news.

“The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”

KanyiDaily recalls that in 2020, Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels had taken to social media to call out Chika Ike to leave her daughter’s husband., Ned Nwoko.
