Wike made the statement after a late-night meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with President Bola Tinubu, Governor Fubara, and suspended members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Speaking to reporters, Nyesom Wike acknowledged the past tensions but said they have now resolved their issues.
Wike, who governed Rivers State before taking up his current role, described the group as members of the same political family.
He said the purpose of the meeting with President Tinubu was to brief him on the outcome of their reconciliation.
“We have all agreed to work together with the governor, and the governor has also agreed to work with all of us,” he said.
“We are members of the same political family – yes, just like humans, we all have disagreements, and then you also have the time to settle your disagreements, and that has been finally concluded today. We have come to report to Mr President that this is what we have agreed.”
Wike added, “For me, everything is over and in joy,” saying that “We have all agreed on everything, so we thank Almighty God.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Governor Siminalayi Fubara also expressed optimism that peace is finally returning to Rivers state.
