In a social media post, Pere Egbi said he does not believe there is anything wrong with a pastor having a tattoo.
He noted that there are pastors who wear braids, keep dreadlocks, put on earrings, or style their hair in different ways, yet people do not question their spiritual roles.
The BBNaija star argued that criticizing a pastor simply for getting a tattoo seems unnecessary because the body art does not take away from someone’s calling or faith.
Pere also said many people might be surprised by who makes it to heaven, adding that some individuals often judged as worldly or “carnal” could end up proving others wrong.
He wrote, “I see nothing wrong with a Pastor getting tattoos. We have Pastors with braids, dreadlocks, Pastors who wear earrings and who jerrycurl their hair!
” Some certain people would be amazed at the people they’d see in heaven. People most of y’all write off here on earth as carnal. Some are in for a rude awakening.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo recently defended himself saying the Bible does not clearly state that Christians are forbidden from having tattoos.
