The 43-year-old singer made the announcement in a video she posted on social media, where she’s seen dancing at home.
In the caption, she wrote: “I want to let you guys know I adopted a beautiful baby girl !!! Her name is Lennon London Spears.”
Although she didn’t show the baby in the video, Britney revealed that Lennon was wearing a cute little dress with the words “I’m NEW HERE !!!” printed on it.
Some fans had already begun speculating after spotting a baby carrier in the background of one of her earlier dancing clips.
This might seem like a surprise to many, but Britney Spears had hinted at her adoption plans earlier this year.
In a since-deleted Instagram post from January, the singer wrote: “I’ve decided I’m going to adopt a baby girl !!!! I’m actually serious !!!”
