According to TMZ, Dreka Gates filed the divorce on July 30, 2025, putting an end to a relationship that began with their wedding in October 2015.
In the documents, Dreka lists July 10 as the day they officially separated and cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup.
The couple shares two children, 12-year-old Islah and 11-year-old Khaza, and Dreka is asking for joint legal and physical custody of both.
She’s also requesting spousal support while asking the court to block Kevin Gates from receiving any support from her.
It’s not yet known if they had a prenuptial agreement.
Dreka has been more than just Kevin’s wife—she also played a key role in his music career, acting as his manager during major milestones.
Many fans saw her as a steady influence during some of his toughest moments.
The divorce filing comes just months before what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary.
Kevin Gates’ team has confirmed he won’t be making any public comments for now.
