AC Milan Reaches Agreement For Chelsea Forward Christopher Nkunku In £36m Deal

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign forward Christopher Nkunku in a deal worth £36 million, including add-ons.

Christopher Nkunku, 27, is set to take a pay cut to complete the move and has been cleared to travel for his medical.

It was gathered that the French striker will sign a five-year contract once the process is finalized.

As part of the deal, Chelsea inserted a sell-on clause, bringing an end to Nkunku’s two-year stint at Stamford Bridge.

His departure is part of Chelsea’s wider summer shake-up.

Talks are progressing with Manchester United over winger Alejandro Garnacho, while striker Nicolas Jackson is also negotiating a potential loan move to Bayern Munich, which could later become permanent.

The sale of Nkunku strengthens Chelsea’s financial position, with the club now reporting around £309m in player sales compared to £277m in new signings.

That profit is crucial, as UEFA fined the club €31m (£26.7m) earlier this summer and ordered them to maintain a positive transfer balance to register new arrivals for the Champions League.

Christopher Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in 2023 for about £52m.

During his time in London, he made 62 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists.

He was also part of the squad that lifted both the Club World Cup and the Conference League this year.

KanyiDaily also reported that Burnley are close to sealing a permanent deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, with talks between both clubs at an advanced stage.
