The accident happened late Saturday night as the victims were said to be heading home after attending Seyi Vibez’s concert on Lagos Island.
An eyewitness identified as @alli\_ya7 shared a video of the scene on X, confirming the tragic incident.
In her post, she warned against reckless driving, explaining that the victims were allegedly racing on the expressway and attempting to overtake other vehicles before the crash occurred.
“They left the show and started racing on the express, trying to overtake other cars. Why race on the highway? May their souls rest in peace. SPEED KILLS,” she wrote.
The crash, which reportedly involved over four vehicles, has triggered an outpouring of shock and sadness across social media, with many lamenting the avoidable loss of lives.
KanyiDaily recalls that Seyi Vibez previously revealed that his family encouraged him to leave home and start working to support himself and his family when he was just 15.
