KanyiDaily had reported how Lil Kesh, whose real name is Keshinro Ololade, was attacked and stabbed during a robbery in August.
It was gathered that the 29-year-old was stabbed in the neck as the attackers made away with his belongings worth millions of naira.
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Mathew Adewole and 31-year-old Mukhtar Muhammad, were tracked down and arrested in Kano following police investigations.
Kano Police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna said Adewole admitted to assaulting the singer during the August 19 attack, leaving him with a deep cut on his neck.
He also revealed that the suspects forced Lil Kesh to transfer ₦2.1 million into Mukhtar’s account.
“Kano State Police Command nabs two suspects in Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano, Mathew Adewole and Mukhtar Muhammad, in connection with armed robbery and attempted murder of Lil-Kesh at Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos.
“Stolen N2.12m recovered and suspects handed over to Lagos Police for prosecution, #Justice Served,” Haruna said.
Both men have been handed over to the Lagos State Police Command, where they will face further investigation and prosecution.
KanyiDaily recalls that Lil Kesh recently promised to keep his virginity for his soulmate, assuring her that despite the temptation, he’s patiently waiting for them.
