Nollywood actress Regina Daniels joined in Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration with a throwback to her childhood memories of the holiday.

In a video shared on Instagram, Regina Daniels revealed that Nigeria is older than her husband, Ned Nwoko.

The actress reminisced about how Independence Day used to be a big deal for kids in her neighborhood.

According to her, the streets were always filled with children dressed in green and white, proudly marching and singing the national anthem.

She said, “Nigeria is 65. That’s a big number, older than my husband. I remember those days when it’s Independence — every kid on the street is flooded, myself dressed in green, everyone doing their march past, singing national anthem. I just hope it’s still the same, the joy to celebrate your country.”

The actress explained that those childhood moments gave her a sense of patriotism she still cherishes.

Regina Daniels fondly recalled schools coming together to sing the national anthem in unison.

The actress attempted to sing the anthem during her video but ended up forgetting the last lines, which left her fans amused.

Sharing the video, she wrote: “Ignore my flop at the end guys but can someone tell me what changed? Abi everything is still the same?”
