KanyiDaily recalls that Taye Arimoro alleged that he was assaulted by Peggy Ovire, along with members of her team, when he attempted to leave the film location after his scheduled working hours.
In a viral video, the actor showed visible injuries in his mouth and gums, claiming he was assaulted and that his car tires were deflated during the confrontation.
Reacting in a series of Instagram stories, Peggy accused Taye of attacking two crew members on set after they asked him to finish two short scenes so production could wrap up for the night.
“Taye, you beat up two crew members simply because you felt they had no voice — no social media presence, no one to speak for them,” she wrote.
They were only begging you to please complete two short scenes so we could wrap the night. Moments later, you went live to record their reaction — leaving out the part where the violence began.”
Peggy Ovire explained that Taye had arrived on set around noon but became agitated when filming continued late into the night.
She said the misunderstanding began when she asked him to quickly complete one more scene before recording his behind-the-scenes footage.
“You reacted sharply when I tried to talk to you, so I decided to give you space. Later, when the Production Manager approached you to appeal for more time, you got physical with him. You had punched the Production Manager three times and he was on the floor before the driver came out,” she recounted.
According to her, the situation escalated further when Taye Arimoro attempted to drive off while she was standing near his car.
She added that her driver was later found bleeding from the ear after allegedly being hit several times by the actor.
The actress said she decided to speak up, not out of anger but to clarify what really happened and correct the misinformation spreading online.
KanyiDaily recalls that Peggy Ovire recently expressed her frustration after apprehending a man named Chinonso, who had allegedly been repeatedly stealing on a movie set.
