In a video shared by TMZ, the creator approached Busta Rhymes at an Art Basel event in Miami over the weekend.
While posing for a photo, the kid points at Busta and says, “It’s Tracy Morgan,” which immediately sets the rapper off.
Busta Rhymes’ friendly expression drops as he begins questioning the kid.
“Wait, what did you say?” he asks several times, directing the kid’s friend to stop recording.
“Put your camera down,” Busta tells him. “I’m taking a picture to show love, and you’re trying to be funny … You don’t play with a grown man, little boy. That’s how people get fucked up.”
The rapper goes on to say he is simply asking for clarification, not attacking the kid.
“I’m asking you a question, I ain’t calling you out. I don’t understand. … That’s the only way I can understand, by asking questions .You was trying to be funny?” he said.
The content creator tried to explain himself, saying he only repeated the name because “Everyone was saying Tracy so I was saying Tracy.”
Busta quickly disagrees saying, “I didn’t hear nobody say Tracy. You the only one who said it.”
The video shows Busta Rhymes continuing to lecture the young creator afterward.
