Many People Arrested As Hisbah Raids ‘Den Of Immoral Acts’ In Katsina

The Hisbah Board in Dandume Local Government Area, Katsina State, has arrested several men and women at a house allegedly used for immoral acts.

The arrest was during a raid at the house reportedly used for immoral activities, including alleged sexual encounters among unmarried youths.

Malam Abdullahi Muntari, the board’s Information Officer, said the raid took place on December 17, at around 9:30 p.m.

He explained that the operation was led by Acting Operations Commander Malam Aliyu Ahmed, following reports of inappropriate activities at the location.

“It is unfortunate that some people are comfortable letting their house become a den for foul activities.

“We arrested several young men and women and we will investigate the matter properly,”  Aliyu said.

He added that the board will continue similar operations to uphold the community’s moral standards.

KanyiDaily also reported how Kano State Hisbah Board shut down an unofficial pilgrimage site where people had gathered to drink muddy water, believing it came from a spot where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) supposedly left his footprint.
