Bandit leader, Surajo Mamman, known as Kutaku, says he has lost count of people he kidnapped and killed.

A 50-year-old bandit kingpin, Surajo Mamman, popularly known as ‘Kutaku’, has confessed to killing and abducting a lot of people after he was arrested by the Katsina State Police Command.

Kutaku was arrested and paraded by the Katsina Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Isah Gambo, along with other notorious bandits on Wednesday at the state police headquarters.

While being paraded, Kutaku who confessed to have lost count of people he killed or kidnapped, said he saw nothing wrong with the crimes until he was arrested by security operatives.

The bandit kingpin said he was the second in command to Sani Muhidinge, another wanted notorious bandit on government watchlist hibernating in Rugu forest, between Katsina and Zamfara States.

“I have been involved in kidnapping and other banditry-related crimes for a very long time now. I cannot remember the exact number of people I have killed or kidnapped but they are many.

“Actually, I didn’t really see anything wrong with my involvement in the act until I was arrested. But my eyes are open now,” Kutaku said.

He further confessed to have participated in so many attacks, kidnapping, and cattle rustling in villages at Dan Musa, Safana, Dutsinma, and Batsari local government areas of the state.

KanyiDaily had also reported how the police arrested the wife of a notorious bandit, Aisha Nura, with the sum of N2.4 million in her procession in Katsina State.
