Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, has sucked all special advisers from their positions.

The decision was announced in a statement released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
Ibrahim said the move is aimed at restructuring the state’s governance system and improving service delivery.
The announcement was made during Governor Bago’s first State Executive Council meeting with the newly appointed commissioners on Tuesday.
The meeting took place at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Minna.
According to the governor, the step is meant to give his administration the opportunity to review, reorganise, and realign the roles of the special advisers in order to boost performance and ensure they better support his “New Niger” development agenda.
He thanked the affected advisers for their commitment, sacrifices, and the roles they played in the progress achieved so far under his leadership.
Governor Bago also wished them success in their future pursuits.
KanyiDaily recalls that Governor Umaru Bago previously dissolved his cabinet and directed Permanent Secretaries to oversee the ministries until new commissioners are appointed.
