Moment Tiwa Savage Broke Down In Tears While Performing ‘Somebody’s Son’ [Video]

A video showing Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage in tears during her performance at the WeLovEya Festival in Cotonou, Benin Republic, has gone viral online.

The festival, held over the weekend at Amazon Square, featured some of Africa’s top artists, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido.

Tiwa Savage performed her 2021 hit “Somebody’s Son,” a song featuring American singer Brandy that explored her desire for true love and emotional connection.

While singing the song solo, the 45-year-old became visibly emotional, breaking down in tears and struggling to continue.

Videos from the event captured fans cheering her on as she tried to push through the performance.

Savage was married to Tunji ‘TeeBillz’ Balogun in 2013, and they have a son, Jamal, born in 2015. The couple divorced in 2018.

KanyiDaily recalls that a Nigerian man identified as Festus Awolowo Etame, recently sent a public marriage proposal to Tiwa Savage.
