Actor Gideon Okeke Announces His Mother’s Death

Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has announced the death of his mother, Chikadibia Fidelia Okeke.

The actor shared the sad news on Instagram, where he also posted details about her burial and spoke about the close relationship they had.

Gideon Okeke revealed that she died on November 16, 2025, and admitted that losing her has been the most difficult experience of his life.

Describing her death as the greatest fear he had ever faced, he reflected on the deep pain of her absence while appreciating the love, care, and support she gave him over the years.

Gideon also extended his condolences to everyone who was touched by his mother’s kindness, warmth, patience, cooking, music, and joyful spirit.

He wrote, “And so that day eventually came — the day my biggest fear stared me right in the face. November 16, 2025. Nothing has ever been this hard to deal with. No pain has ever pressed me so deeply.

“But have I known love? Oh yes, your version of it. It has held me and kept me covered all these years. In all, I give glory to God for the peaceful life she lived. My condolences go out to everyone who felt her warmth, love, patience, food, songs, and plenty of laughter.

“We are all the same in God’s eyes, but my mum was extra special to me. I call her Bithyah — the daughter of Yahweh and I take comfort in the fact that her Father called her up to take her place and watch over me.

“This right here was my friend, my rock, my mother. Nne’m o, Nne’m o, ezigbo oyi bu nne. Keep resting, baby. Bithyah, my baby.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Gideon Okeke recently explained the reason behind his recent verbal attack on colleague Jim Iyke.
