“I Was Injured And He’s Been Running” – Gideon Okeke Reveals He Attacked Jim Iyke

Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke has explained the reason behind his recent verbal attack on colleague Jim Iyke.

KanyiDaily recalls that Gideon Okeke had lambasted Jim Iyke, describing  him as someone he considers fake and lacking in intelligence.

In a new Instagram post, Okeke revealed he suffered an injury requiring two stitches while working on Iyke’s production, with a two-month recovery period.

He compared his situation to late actor, Junior Pope’s fatal accident in 2024, citing ongoing safety concerns in Nollywood productions.

Gideon Okeke claims he’s attempted to address this with Jim Iyke for months without success because the latter has been running.

He emphasized that his injury could have been more severe and expressed determination to advocate for improved workplace safety standards in Nollywood.

“Jnr Pope, is one death, too many, in this business. And that only happened this year, 2024.

“Had I gotten anything more than these 2 stitches on the set of iim Iyke’s production, yall would still can me a fool I guess.

“It’s taken 3 whole Months to heal from that and still I am committed to ensuring SAFETY, at the Nollywood work place Sometimes I’ve asked Myself, WHY WAS IT ME WHO GOT HURT?

“I guess it’S so that NOBODY ELSE, gets to take one for the team. But jim ivke is running,” he added.
