Angela Okorie Reportedly Arrested Following Petition By Mercy Johnson

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been arrested over an alleged cybercrime case linked to her colleague Mercy Johnson.

The information was shared by filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi in a post on Instagram.

He said Okorie was arrested at her Lagos home by officers from the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre in Abuja.

According to him, the actress was held overnight at Yaba Panti because there was no flight available to take her to Abuja at the time of her arrest.

Oloketuyi added that she was flown to Abuja early this morning on a 6am flight.

He said Okorie will to face legal proceedings related to the cybercrime allegations involving Mercy Johnson.

The post reads, “Angela Okorie was arrested yesterday at her residence in Lagos by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja.

‘She spent the night at Yaba Panti because there was no available flight to Abuja at the time of her arrest.

She was put on a 6am flight to Abuja this morning and is being taken there to face court proceedings connected to the cybercrime matter involving Mercy Johnson”.

KanyiDaily recalls that Angela Okorie recently apologized to Mercy Johnsom, saying that her emotional reactions may have crossed the line.
