Nigerian Singer Destiny Boy Reportedly Dies At 22

Afrofuji singer Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, has reportedly died at 22 years old.

The news was announced on Sunday, January 18, 2025, by Instagram investigative journalist Temilola Sobola, who confirmed the singer’s death.

Sobola wrote, “Singer Destiny Boy has passed away. May his soul Rest In Peace🕊️.”

At the time of filing the report, there is no confirmed information about what caused his death.

Destiny Boy was a rising artist in the Nigerian music industry and had gained attention in recent months.

His sudden death has shocked fans and fellow musicians. Many people took to social media to express their sadness and pay tribute.

KanyiDaily recalls that in November 2024, Destiny Boy welcomed his first child at the age of 20, months after reportedly proposing to his partner with a diamond ring believed to be worth millions of naira.
