Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is mourning the loss of his mother, Sarah Chukwueze, who died after a short illness.

The news was shared on Thursday by his brother, David Chukwueze, through emotional messages posted on his Instagram story.
In one of the posts, David said he was too heartbroken to even share her photo in tribute, showing how deeply the family is affected by the loss.
“Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum💔💔💔😭😭😭.” he wrote.
In another message, he described his mother as his greatest love and expressed pain that she died without a chance to say goodbye.
David said, “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye💔💔💔.”
He also lamented that she died before meeting her grandchild, highlighting the suddenness of her death.
“You didn’t even carry your grandchild. Chaiiii😭😭😭💔💔💔.” he added.
The family did not provide further details about the illness that led to her death.
Samuel Chukwueze, who plays for Fulham in the English Premier League, is a regular member of Nigeria’s national team.
He has featured for the Super Eagles in major tournaments, including the recent Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

This tragic news comes just two days after another loss in the Super Eagles camp, following the death of team captain Wilfred Ndidi’s father, Sunday Ndidi, who was killed in a road accident in Delta State.
