In an interview with Korty EO, the singer said that even though they don’t live together or see each other often, his feelings for his father have not changed.
Asake explained that the love between them remains the same, regardless of distance or how frequently they meet.
“The love is still the same between me and my dad, even if I don’t live with him or see him every day,” he said.
Speaking further, the artist stressed that his love is unconditional and not affected by past issues or current situations.
“Even if he points a gun at me, till eternity he will always be my dad, and I will still show him the same love,” he added.
His comments come a few weeks after Asake gifted both his parents expensive cars during Ramadan, despite earlier rumours suggesting tension between him and his father over claims he was not present during the singer’s childhood.
