He made the endorsement on Thursday while opening a meeting of the Southern Traditional Rulers Council held in Port Harcourt.

Fubara said the country is currently in safe and capable hands under the leadership of President Tinubu.

According to him, the federal government is recording progress in rebuilding the economy and expanding infrastructure projects, including major coastal road developments, even though some challenges still exist.

The governor stressed the importance of continuity in leadership, noting that changing direction midway through governance is not always the best option.

He also called on leaders and stakeholders in the southern region to stay united and focus on common development goals.

We are all witnesses to the transformation of our battered economy and the ongoing infrastructural revolution, including the remarkable coastal road project in the southern and other parts of the country in just three years,” he said.

“Although challenges remain in certain regions, we all trust in Mr President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and dedication to safeguarding our nation, transforming the economy and delivering equitable development to all regions.”

Fubara also described the gathering of traditional rulers as a sign that Rivers remains peaceful and ready to host important national events.

The meeting brought together monarchs from the 17 southern states, including Cletus Ilomuanya and Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
