Tinubu spoke during a meeting with Caleb Mutfwang and other stakeholders from Plateau State, where talks focused on the security situation and overall stability in the country.
The president suggested that some people are using the issue of insecurity to weaken his administration and undermine his chances politically.
“You are playing to the hand of agents, including my own enemies, who want to use insecurity to get rid of me,” he said.
Tinubu, however, insisted he would not back down, describing himself as determined and unwilling to step aside, stressing that he remains fully committed to contesting for another term.
“I’m a very stubborn politician. I just refuse to go. And I will campaign for my second term,” he said.
President Bola Tinubu’s remarks came shortly after he obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027general elections.
