In a video shared on her Instagram page, the singer asked people who criticize her songs to give her some space and stop the negativity.
Busola Oke, who is popularly known for her song “Eleyele,” spoke about how people have mocked her voice and said her style no longer matches today’s music trends.
Oke questioned why she keeps being targeted, saying she doesn’t understand what people expect from her.
The singer expressed frustration over her critic’s comments and simply asked to be left alone.
“What do people really want from me? I do not know. I do not really know. What is it? If I do this, you will complain. If I do the other, you would still complain,” she said.
“Please, have I offended you before? Or there is life I have lived before that we had an encounter.
“If I say you would ask, is that the song my mates are singing. Can’t you see what your mates are singing?’ If I sing the one you want, you would still say am I not older than that?’
“What do I do to satisfy you? If I do not talk, you would say I am silent. If I talk, would you say I am talking too much? Leave me alone.”
