Soludo disclosed this on Sunday while speaking at St. Patrick’s Cathedral during the All Knights Day celebration organised by the Catholic Diocese of Awka.
According to him, several suspects have already been taken into custody and are making confessions during investigations.
He also challenged religious leaders who claim to possess genuine healing powers to visit Amaku Hospital and demonstrate their miracles there.
The governor accused some self-acclaimed men of God of taking advantage of desperate and vulnerable people by preaching “salvation without the cross.”
Soludo urged church leaders in the state to continue promoting the value of hard work and honesty among citizens.
He said, “The state has commenced an ongoing crackdown on fake pastors who exploit the vulnerable by preaching gospel of ‘salvation without the cross.’
“As I speak now, several of them are already in custody and confessing.
“A new Anambra is in the offing, which must be clean and clear of such deception.
“We’ve arrested fake pastors and bishops. Whoever wants to perform miracle should come to Amaku Hospital.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Governor Charles Soludo previously issued a strict warning against loud preaching in public spaces, especially in markets, citing concerns over noise pollution and public disturbance.
