The singer turned his performance into a call for action, urging authorities to intensify efforts to rescue those still being held by their abductors.
Before taking the stage, Davido was seen in a backstage video wearing a customised black leather jacket decorated with green circular badges.
Each badge carried the name of one of the kidnapped pupils or teachers in Oyo.

The design also reflected the status of the victims. Those who are still in captivity had their names written in white, while the names of those who died during the incident were displayed in red.
He paired the jacket with a white T-shirt bearing the word “NIGERIA” on the front, while the back of the jacket carried the bold message, “BRING THEM HOME.”
Speaking shortly before his performance, Davido expressed sympathy for the affected families and called on both the federal and state governments to act quickly.
“Peace and love everywhere. May God be with the families of the abducted and the ones who have been killed,” Davido said.
“They still haven’t been rescued, we’re praying to God every day. We’re also praying to God that the government hastens, and you know… My country is going through a lot. We represent everywhere we go.”
The concert marked another major event in the build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
Davido was one of the headline performers at the countdown concert, further strengthening his role as a global ambassador for Afrobeats and African music.
His appearance comes after it was announced that he, alongside fellow Nigerian stars Burna Boy, Rema and Ayra Starr, will feature on the official soundtrack album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
