Four Killed As Gunmen Attack Convoy Of Governor Soludo’s Chief Of Staff
Four people have been confirmed dead after gunmen attacked the convoy of Ben Nwankwo, Chief of Staff to Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo.

Law Mefor, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, ssid the attack happened on Sunday night between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. near the boundary between Orumba North and Awka South local government areas.
According to him, Nwankwo was reportedly returning from an official engagement when the incident occurred.
In a statement, Mefor said: “This was more than an attack on one person. It was an attack on the peace, security, and democratic order of our state, as well as the Government and people of Anambra.
“Sadly, four persons lost their lives and deserve justice.
“The Anambra State Government sends its deepest condolences to the families of those who died and share in their grief.”
Mefor said security agencies, including the police, have launched investigations and are working to identify and arrest those responsible for the killings.
He noted that the incident appears to be an isolated case, coming after more than a year of relative peace and improved security across the state.
Mefor also assured residents that the government remains committed to fighting crime and ensuring the safety of citizens.
