How Nigerian Business Owners Can Apply For N50,000 SMEDAN Grant

Small business owners across Nigeria can apply for financial support as the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has reopened applications for its Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS).

The programme offers a one-time grant of N50,000 to eligible nano and micro businesses.

Beneficiaries are not required to repay the money, provided they meet the conditions of the scheme.

The grant is designed to help small businesses improve their operations, expand their activities and create more employment opportunities.

As part of the programme, every successful applicant must employ at least one additional person.

About SMEDAN Conditional Grant Scheme

SMEDAN introduced the Conditional Grant Scheme to provide financial assistance to small businesses that often struggle to access bank loans and other forms of credit.

Since the funding is a grant, successful applicants do not have to pay it back or worry about interest charges.

The agency said the initiative is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, supporting business growth and boosting economic activities in communities across the country.
