About SMEDAN Conditional Grant Scheme

SMEDAN introduced the Conditional Grant Scheme to provide financial assistance to small businesses that often struggle to access bank loans and other forms of credit.

Since the funding is a grant, successful applicants do not have to pay it back or worry about interest charges.

The agency said the initiative is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, supporting business growth and boosting economic activities in communities across the country.

SMEDAN also noted that the Conditional Grant Scheme is different from the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme, although both programmes provide N50,000 grants to qualified nano businesses.
