Davido recently explained why his planned collaboration with Wande Coal was never released.
Speaking during a podcast interview, Davido said he had recorded his verse for the song but disagreed with Wande Coal’s plan to release the track first and later use his contribution as a remix.
“I recorded the song, then he wanted to drop the song first and use my own verse for the remix, but I was like, no, because I didn’t record the song for a remix. That was how the song didn’t come out. That verse is stupid hard. It’s so sick. So good,” Davido said.
Reacting on his X page, Wande Coal questioned why Davido wanted to influence the release plans for a song that belonged to him.
Wande Coal also pointed out that “Come My Way” was already scheduled for release and performed well without Davido’s contribution.
“Carry song come give you as how?. Song wey been get release plan and date!!!. Song wey no be your own you wan dictate release plan. That song fkin did well without you on it bruv!!!,” he said.
