Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has revealed that the police arrested the brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Sowore, a former presidential candidate, who disclosed this on his X page, also revealed that Kanu’s lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor was also arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja.
He is currently leading other activist to protest the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since his re-arrest in June 2021.
“The @PoliceNG team deployed to brutalize #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protesters arrested Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, and his lawyer, @AloyEjimakor, as well as innocent bystanders.
“They were beaten and taken to the FCT command. The police must release them immediately!,” he wrote on Monday morning.
