Solomon reportedly collapsed on Friday, August 21, while attending the meeting organised to address disagreements within the party and bring members together.

He was reportedly given first aid at the venue before being taken to a hospital in Kabba, where he was said to have been pronounced dead on arrival.

The meeting was organised by a former chairman of Ijumu LGA, Funsho Olumoko, as part of efforts to resolve disputes among APC members and improve unity ahead of future political activities.

It was gathered that an earlier reconciliation meeting had failed to resolve an alleged leadership dispute within the local chapter of the party.
