Governor Abba Yusuf Sacks Kano Commerce Commissioner Shehu Sagagi
Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has sacked Shehu Wada Sagagi as the commissioner for investment, commerce and industry, with immediate effect.

The announcement was made on Thursday in a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Tofa.
SSagagi has been instructed to transfer all responsibilities of the ministry to the director of commerce until further notice.
Yusuf expressed appreciation for Sagagi’s time in office, acknowledging his efforts and contributions to the state.
He noted that the former commissioner made an impact in areas such as politics, religious affairs, and the growth of small and medium-sized businesses.
The governor also wished him success in his future pursuits.
The statement added that the move is part of ongoing steps by the administration to restructure government operations and improve performance.
It added that the decision is in line with the government’s aim of achieving steady growth and long-term development across the state.
Yusuf also reassured residents of Kano that his administration remains focused on delivering effective governance and better public service.
Meanwhile, Kano State House of Assembly has started the legal process of removing Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo from office.
