Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan ‘Ogogo’ Buried In Ilaro [Video]

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has been buried in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State, at the age of 66.

KanyiDaily recalls that Taiwo Hassan Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, after battling cancer.

His death sparked tributes from Nigerians, including fellow entertainers, politicians, friends and fans.

The veteran actor was laid to rest on Monday, August 24, according to Islamic burial rites.

Family members, colleagues and residents of Ilaro gathered to honour the late actor and bid him farewell.

The burial followed Janazah prayers held at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground in Ilaro, with members of the Ilaro Muslim Community taking part in the funeral rites.

Several veteran actors travelled to Ilaro to pay their last respects. Among them were Yinka Quadri and Jide Kosoko, while Mister Latin, Dele Odule, Olaiya Igwe, Fathia Balogun and Kolawole Ajeyemi were also present.
