Lil Wayne’s Album Beats Jay Z and Kanye West’s Album

 Lil Wayne and and his new album ‘Tha Carter IV’
smashed The Throne’s short lived iTunes first week sales record and went nearly
platinum first week.

‘Tha Carter IV’ was downloaded a staggering 300,000
times from iTunes in only three days while it took ‘Watch the Throne’ a full
week to reach those numbers.

According to Nielsen Soundscan ‘Tha Carter
IV’ sold 964,000 copies in the first week landing Weezy at #1 on the Billboard
charts.

Jay Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch the Throne’ slid down to #4 this
week after selling 80k units, bringing their total sales to 780k.
