Coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles Stephen Keshi has banned players from earrings while on national assaignments, as part of new measures to enforce discipline.
He told home-based players currently in camp in Abuja that wearing earrings by men is alien to African Culture and “no player is permitted here to wear them.”
Some of the national players such as Joseph Yobo, Obafemi Martins, Dele Adeleye, Brown Ideye, Osaze Odemwingie, Victor Anichebe, Peter Utaka and Chibuzor Okonkwo are known to wear earrings.
