Just heard that there was an explosion of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the bridge linking Festac Town and Amuwo Odofin in Lagos. One man, Oladele Pius, a local sand dealer, was killed while a policeman who came to investigate the incidence was hurt.
The scene of the explosion has been cordoned off by armed security men (see picture above) as crowds have gathered causing traffic in the area.
