Three years after marrying 14 year old Marian from Egypt, the former Zamfara State governor, has allegedly divorced her and married a new wife also from Egypt. And don’t forget this girl gave him one child.
Yerima and four men, said to be members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly were in Egypt a few weeks ago for the wedding of Fathia his new bride who is 15 years old.
The reason he divorced Marian is to enable him take a new wife as he’s not allowed more than four wives.
I see why he was actively campaigning that the section of the 1999 constitution which stated the official marriage age in Nigeria as 18 year should be removed cos it was anti-Islam.
It makes me feel like we are back in the dark ages.
