46 years old Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is found dead in his New York City apartment.
Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York City apartment today (Sunday 02/02/2014) He was aged 46.
The official cause of death is still unknown at this point, however, the police say he mighthave died of a suspected overdose, as he was found with a needle in his arm. Police also confirm that apparent heroin was found at the scene.
Hoffman’s family released a statement regarding his death:

“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving.  Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers.”  The family will not be making any further statements at this time.

It’s funny that all of these successful actors still succumb to drug addiction. I really wish people would understand that once you start you can’t stop. Don’t do drugs people. They will kill you. How many people have to die? He was a great actor. God bless his children….May his soul RIP.
