Davido Tops Shazam Music Chart In New York City, As His Song ‘If’ Climbs To No 1 Position On The Chart

It’s been over a year since its release, Davido’s 2017 monster single, ‘If’ sits above songs like Lil Wayne’s ‘Uproar’, Travis Scott’s ‘Sicko Mode’, ‘Backin It Up’ by Pardison Fontaine featuring Cardi B and Ella Mai’s ‘Trip’ on the Shazam charts as at Thursday, October 11, 2018.

Shazam is one of the most popular apps in the world, used by millions of music lovers each month to instantly identify a new song that is playing at the moment and also view what others are discovering. The app also provides details like the artist name and song title of the particular song playing at the time.

This makes Davido the first Nigerian artist ever to be number one on the charts in a US state.

This is a pointer to how much Davido’s brand has grown over the past year especially in the United States where he recently went on a tour of several cities.
