Presidency Releases Full Tape Of What Amaechi Said In The Viral Audio Leak To Prove It Was Edited

The Presidency has reacted to the trending short audio tape released by the camp of Peoples Democratic party where the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who is also the Director General of Buhari-Osinbajo Campaign Organization, was heard lambasting the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In the short audio, Amaechi was heard describing President Buhari as a failure who has been unable to meet the expectations of various segments of the country.

Amaechi was heard saying:

“These are not things you publish ooo. If you publish them, you will never sit with me any day.

“Three years of Buhari oo, everybody is crying, crying…pressmen are crying, farmers are crying, workers are crying, politicians are crying, students are crying, three years oo!

“The rate of poverty is very high. The people are hungry. Nigeria will never change!”

However, the presidential aide on Digital Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, said the trending leaked short audio was clinically edited.

According to him, the ‘corruption’ context was edited out. He further released the full version of what Amaechi originally said.

According to Odunlesi original version, this is what Amaechi said:

“Corruption has become our culture, it’s our way of life. Nothing can chage it.

“Three years of Buhari oo, everybody is crying, crying…pressmen are crying, farmers are crying, workers are crying, politicians are crying, students are crying, three years oo!

“The rate of poverty is very high. The people are hungry. Nigeria will never change!”

If Odunlesi’s version is correct, that means the first line that has the ‘corruption’ context was edited.
