David Mark’s Daughter Defeats Her Uncle With Wide Margin To Secure House Of Reps Seat
Lady Blessing Onuh, the daughter of former Senate President, David Mark, has won Otukpo/Ohimini House of Representative seat.
Onuh who is a candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) defeated her uncle with a wide margin, Egli Johnson Ahubi who is presently the deputy speaker in Benue State House of Assembly and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Blessing Onuh used to be a member of PDP, but left the party for the APGA, just two weeks after a controversial defeat by her uncle during the constituent primaries.
Meanwhile, Ahubi has conceded defeat and congratulated Onuh for winning the seat.
The Deputy Speaker in a congratulatory message to Blessing Onuh said despite the many hitches experienced in the process, he accepted outcome of the election as the will of God.
Amidst reactions, the PDP Chieftains claimed that Onuh’s victory and accomplishment was based on her father’s influence adding that she was never a member of the party from the onset.
Ahubi also thanked all his supporters for the dogged fights, urged them to take the outcome in good faith and continue to work hard in order to deliver all PDP candidates in the next month’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
