A man was almost lynched to death yesterday afternoon after he was allegedly caught while trying to use a little boy of about 6-years old for rituals while pretending to be mentally unstable in order to carry out the nefarious act in Sapele area of Delta State.
According to reports, he was caught trying to use/blow powder (which had cowries round it) on the boy in a bid to hypnotize him. But he was immediately spotted, captured and beaten mercilessly by the angry mob.

It was gathered that while being beaten, the young man was making some incantations for reasons best known to him, which led to him being stabbed in the chest with a sharp object by the mob.
The police later came to his rescue as the suspect was dragged to a station in the area for further interrogation.
