Pastor Who Fled After Stabbing Mother To Death, Arrested In Anambra Hideout

Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of 30-year-old Pastor Nwabueze Anaka who fled after allegedly stabbing his mother to death in Oraifite, Ekwusigo local government area of the state.

KanyiDaily had reported that Nwabueze Anaka allegedly stabbed his mother, one Grace Anaka, aged about 50 to death and fled on Tuesday.

The police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed his capture, said the suspect was arrested in his hideout at Onitsha. He said:

“Following intelligence report, detectives attached to Central Police Station Onitsha in collaboration with Oraifite Division have arrested the murder suspect today (Wednesday) in his hideout at Onitsha.

“Exhibits recovered from the suspect include a travelling bag and a knife reasonably suspected to have been used in perpetrating the act.”

Mohammed said the case has been transferred to State CID Awka for discreet investigation.
