FUNAAB Student Expelled For Writing Open Letter To VC On Facebook About Insecurity In The School

A 200-level student of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Ifemosu Michael has been expelled by the school for writing an open letter on his Facebook page to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Kolawole Salako.

Ifemosu Michael was expelled because he wrote an open letter to the VC about insecurity and police harassment in the school.

The students raised some pertinent questions over the incessant robbery of students’ hostels, indiscriminate arrest of undergraduates, and also the lack of adequate transportation system on the school’s main campus.

Angered by the said letter, FUNAAB’s management expelled Adewale, claiming that he had breached the school’s moral code.

In a letter which conveyed message of his expulsion, Ifemosu was accused of raising allegations and misrepresenting facts about the institution.

The student who however denied the allegation, stated that he was expelled for calling the attention of the Vice Chancellor to lingering challenges rocking the school.
